Overview

A production order is generally used in discrete industries while a process order is used for process industries. The master data for production orders includes material master, BOMs, work center, routing and sometimes, PRTs. Process orders, which are typically integrated with batch management and the quality management module, use material master, BOMs, resources, master recipes and production version as its master data.
