How can I manage assets in SAP?

SAP Financial Accounting has a submodule or component called Asset Accounting (FI-AA) which manages an organization's fixed asset. Due to the intrinsic nature of assets, the asset accounting module is tightly integrated with the CO (controlling) module, the MM (materials management) module, and the plant maintenance (PM) module.
